Bernd Blobel, Prof. Dr. habil. FACMI, FACHI, FHL7, FEFMI, FIAHSI

PhD, Prof. at Medical Faculty, University of Regensburg, Germany, Visiting Prof. at 1st Medical Faculty, Charles University Prague, Czech Republic. Studies in mathematics, technical cybernetics and electronic engineering, theoretical physics, medicine, informatics and medical informatics. Habilitation in medicine and informatics. Founder and former Head of the Health Informatics Department at the University of Magdeburg Medical Center, founder and former Head of the Health Telematics Group at Fraunhofer IIS, Erlangen, former Head of the German National eHealth Competence Center, Regensburg, former Chair of the CEN/ISSS eHealth Standardization Focus Group, Brussels. Co-Founder and former Chair of HL7 Germany, former Chair of the EFMI WGs EHR and Security as well as Co-Chair of the IMIA Security WG, Co-Chair of the Security WGs of HL7 International and OMG. He was responsibly involved in many countries’ national EHR, Security and eHealth Programs and Projects. Currently, he engages in international high-level education, international conferences and international standardization (HL7, ISO, CEN, IEEE, OMG).

Jean-Pierre Hubaux

Jean-Pierre Hubaux is a full professor at EPFL and head of the Laboratory for Data Security. Through his research, he contributes to laying the foundations and developing the tools for protecting privacy in today’s hyper-connected world. He has pioneered the areas of privacy and security in mobile/wireless networks and in personalized health.

He is the academic director of the Center for Digital Trust (C4DT.org). He leads the Data Protection in Personalized Health (DPPH.ch) project funded by the ETH Council and is a co-chair of the Data Security Work Stream of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH). He is a Fellow of both IEEE (2008) and ACM (2010). He is among the most cited researchers in privacy protection and in information security.

Vesa Jormanainen , MD, MSc, specialist in public health medicine.

Current position is Chief Specialist at Health and Social Systems Research at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), Finland. Previously he worked as the director of operational management to make real large-scale implementation and adoption of the national Kanta IT services for social and healthcare in Finland in 2010–2017. He also has experience in concept building and directing medical technology assessment at the Finnish Medicines Agency in 2009–2010. He has international working experience from major pharmaceutical companies in health economics, outcomes research and pricing as a team manager. Currently he is in Board of Directors at the European Health Telematics Association (EHTEL, Brussels, Belgium).
